I was driving home last night on the interstate and everything was fine. When I got off the interstate and started to slow down I noticed a vibration. When I came to a stop the vibration was still there but when I put the clutch in it went away. When I started off the car seemed to struggle and the vibration was worse. This morning the same thing happened. When I'm at 70 or above I feel nothing or when I'm in high boost everything seems fine. When I got off the interstate at work I could hear a clunking sound that increased or decreased according to my speed. When I got to work I looked under the car to see if I could see anything like a fluid leak or maybe a rip in a axle or cvjoint. Nothing could be found. I would appreciate any help that you could give me. Tomorrow I'm gonna put it up on jackstands and see if anything looks odd. The motor and transmission have about 85,000 miles on it.

Well I found out that it was a cv axle. The boot has ripped and had slung all the grease out of the top side. A local shop is going to put a new one in for 75.00 labor and a new axle from Napa was 95.00. I do appreciate the reply though.

Yeah this older man has his own shop and his guys do great work and they stand behind their work. Best part is that when he gives a price he does it for that price. No hidden charges.
