I am trying the open down pipe tonight just to see what it might be like when I get my 3" exhaust. My question is that the 2nd o2 senser by the cat since no exhaust is being ran through it will I get a check engine light? I already drove it around the block feels slower on take off but mid to top feels like it pulls harder havent yet really got on it because I was in my subdivision. I took a 90 elbow and a flange to make the exhaust come out down towards the ground and not straight out. THIS IS REALLY LOUD sounds ok when you start it but till you get till like 3500 rpms it sounds like I have no muffler. Oh well its just for a night.

Some do, some don't.

If you get a CEL then you will know why. And by disconnecting the DP will not get you the same sound. It will be way louder than a 3" system.
