We know nothing of the condition. Does it smoke? Leak? Catch fire?

A paint job is the least of your worries when buying a used car.

I have no clue what an "ECI" is.

The only info I have is as follows...

1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD Black/silver exterior Gray interior Vehicle was bought as a parts vehicle missing ECM. Body IS in decent condition has alot of dirt on it from sitting. The intake has been removed but it is still inside the car and can be reassembled.5Speed,AWD,AC,Sunroof,Power locks, power windows, cruise control,

Apparantly it doesnt run at all..Im thinking he meant ECU..not ECM because ive never heard of an ECM either.

Basically I would be buying it as an awd project car/a car for my girl to drive occasionally. But for me mainly.Just something im considering.I came across it.Im either gonna go with this car or mod my FWD 2g.Im a little skeptical about a 350+HP FWD though. Can you say ''wheel spin''?

Also not that it does a great deal but heres an engine bay shot. You can see the intake pipe/hose disconnected as he describes:shhh:

tell him that if u were to concider buying that he would need to take it to a shop of your choice. (or if you can preform all the check ness. Compres. Check ect.)

Remeber.. Its you money you have him by the balls so squeez as much as you can;)

Tell him an ECU is gonna be pricey (get a dealer quote or one from foreignecurepair.com) and try to bump down the price some, though 1000 really isn't bad if an ECU is all it needs. i would also find out how it ran the last time it was up and running, if at all possible.

To give you a better understanding of my situation also.I have $1000 sitting in my drawer.I was originally going to take that and buy an EVOII 16G,Walbro pump,injectors...blah blah. Then I came across this car.I thought to myself well I can have an AWD to mod,and have my FWD to fall back on if anything ever breaks on it etc.(Daily Driver)But then again I dunno..just a thought:confused:
