I HAVE AN AFTER MARKET UNDER DRIVE PULLEY AND SETTING BASE TIMING WITH THIS THING IS ####IN ANNOYING. SHOULD I JUST THROW A STOCK ONE ON AND SET IT WITH THAT AND THEN JUST SWITCH THEM????

i didn't have a problem. there is a mark on the pulley. once you hook up the light its pretty easy to see.

Here's what I did with my unmarked UD pulley. I installed it, then turned the motor until the timing marks on the cams were lined up perfectly. Then I used a black felt pen to put a mark on the UD pulley right next to the "T" mark on the timing cover.
