I have seen most companies make rear strut tower braces for 2g cars but don't think seen any for 1g.Are they not helpful on 1g cars or just awkward to install or something.

They are made, you just have to look for them. MachV and RRE sell them I believe. It's a very easy install. I doubt you'd notice a huge difference, but it would definitly help stiffen the chassis some. It's the very last suspension mod I have planned for my car.

do you have to cut the plastic around where it goes or something?

is one side supposed to be loose cuz it rattles a lot and it really annoying. my friend said it was supposed to be that way but i wasnt relly sure.

it shouldn't rattle at all. where is the rattling coming from? I would check to make sure everything is tight.

Chris

its on the drivers side where it attaches to the mount. maybe that bolt needs to be tightened more... but its damn tight now.

the rattle should be from the rear strut tower bar, perhaps the plastic panel is touching it? or the panel itself may be loose, and now that the rear is stiffer it'll experience the road surface a lot more, thus the panels would vibrate!!

no its not hitting the plastic its the end of the bar moving back and forth... cant really explain it better. ill post a pic tomorrow.

if everything's tightened down, it shouldn't move...i would recommend using some SS bolts/nuts cuz a lot of times the aftermarket strut bars come w/ some really chessy bolts and they'll deform under high torque, and the threads get messed and you can't remove them w/o breaking it apart,
