What do you guys think an Apex'i N1 muffler with 2.25" piping and a test pipe would sound like? What about the same set-up with a Tanabe Racing Medallion muffler(both non-generic)? Also, out of those two set-ups, which one would be buzzier?

Thanks.

I can give props on Apex'i N1, it's definetly the best set-up out there.
Plus it has a crisp deep toned sound... it's awesome!
well I dunno much about the Tanabe medalion but you won't regret
picking the Apex'i.

BTW, if you run a test pipe, you will notice the "buzz" when you
downshift.

Can't really go wrong with the N1. replacing the cat is kinda risky though for sound. A lot of people say it sounds a lot more "tingy" or there is more buzz without a cat. It might not be worth it on a non-turbo, but i'm not speaking from direct experience. The greddy evo sounds really nice too but some people think it is too quiet, i think its kinda cool to be low key though. :thumb:

I have my 95 GST on Apexi N1 and I wouldnt trade it for the world. At first I thought about switching to EVO but I heard my friends Type R, def no good. And I have a HI FLOW CAT on mine and my jaun still buzz's on the downshift. Also, I have heard through the grapevine that Tanabe is a real annoying sound, kinda like the HKS Hiper system. I donno, I just know that if you are unsure, N1 or GT Spec(same muffler) is the way to go, sounds great!

Since a test pipe removes your cat and all, would that make it so loud that it would be illegal?

Man......
jeez!
GS-T Muffler sux... it will do no good for performance to you...
just go with apex'i ;)
