after my header and downpipe and exhaust install a day and a half later the check engine light came on, i did a search and tried that turn the key 3 times trick and nothing happend. no codes showed up or ne thing, the engine light just stayed on...im confused, ive raced twice and driven it a lot since the engine light came on, so i dont think its anything too serious, any help would be appreciated

I am gonna guess its something to do with your O2 sensor man...when you did the "key thing" did you leaveit in the on position??...If so...then just disconnect your positive battery terminal for a bit then replace it and see what happens...

Same thing happened after I put my udp in. Fortunately I know how to solve the problem. You cut out a little piece of duct or electrical tape, carefully place it on the selected area, and admire your work. Problem gone

ya my CEL came on when i gutted my cat but bought a hi flow on off ebay and it went away and didn't notice a loss in power.

Goto autozone and borrow their code reader and run outside and just simply pull the code off of the ecu. Once you get the code run back inside and find out what it means and then tell us that.

Or check the tech articles we got for what it actually it. There not listed all there.
:)

well thank you red98gs for deleting my post but what i said is that i DID get the problem fixed by putting on the cat so theres no need for me to go to autozone.
