What companies make headers for the 1G 2.0 N/T?
I know extrememotorsports has one.. but the details on it are vague whether its a 4-2-1 or simply a 4-1 design... and since there areno pics of it on the site I cant figure it out.
Anyone else have a header on their cars yet? And I absolutely refuse to run the pos pace setter header.

i got a header on my car and noticed a little bit of low end torque but not sugnificant hp.. i got mine from a junkyard i could prolly get you one if you want i think there is a pic in my gallary if you want to check it out....

i just checked your gallery and i found out that you have a turbo ecu, maf and injectors. isn't it too much fuel for your nt? any cams or other head work done ?
thanks
emiliano

For the money you really can't go wrong with the Pacesetter Header. Buy it. Port it. Slap it on. You have a pretty decent flowing header. On the other hand, if you want stainless, go to machv.com they recently made the "Borla" Stainless header available for about $450... big bucks for the ultimate flow.

I got my complete Pacesetter Exhaust from a guy on DSMTrader for $145 shipped :D Only thing I dont like is the big ugly can thingy they call a muffler, and oh dont high temp paint your exhaust system, at least from the cat convertor forward it;'ll burn right off, I did it as rust prevention, and seems to be holding up well from cat back, and if your wrapping a header use some of this special silicone spray to prevent your wrap from absorbing water and rusting out the pipes good luck on your choice, cheaper is better fo me im an EBAy shopper

Is it better to install your own headers, or the the muffler shop do it.. I just bought a pair of pacesetters for my car and it cost me $240 from the shop and $40 install. will have them put in day after X-mas..

its pretty easy to install, you gotta remove the power steering pump to get the header on/off, then unbolt the dp and your set expect about an hour and a half of time, spray the crap put of the rusty exhaust manifold bolts on the head with some rust breaker something like liquid wrench, before do this days in advance so you dont break a stuf or 2 or 3 LOL

it came off of a hyundai 1.8 dohc not sure what model but it works good not as pretty as some of the othere 150 to 250 dollar ones out there but alot cheaper i only spent 20 bux on this from a junk yard and all i had to do is to but the o2 sensor in it with a bung nut about 5 dollars...

the collector is the pipe that connects your header to the cat... that part is crap and has so far broken twice... i have yet to have any problem with the header itself...
at which point did the collector break? I was thinking about adding the whole pacestetter, header-and collector. its all crome and looks performance..whats best for the car?

Just had my pacesetters put in. and my car runs great. way better pick up and redlineing. the whole header was put in w/ collector but welded to the cat. My car now sounds more racey and smooth...

can't beleive anyone would pay to have a header put in their car... sure if it were a small block Mopar A body sicne you haev to take off half the suspension, but it was was easier to install mine than it was to install my air intake...

i would take the car back and have them install a different collector.. that collector is junk...
