I have a set of 1g cams with the cams gear still on them. I have a 95 gsx with a 2g head that I would like to install them on . The only difference on the cam gears is that my stock 2g intake cam gear has some sort of round metal plate attached to it. My question is do I need to use the stock cam gears from my 2g with the 1g cams or could I just swap out the whole setup? Another question, I am also swapping in a 1g throttle body, what kind of gains would I be looking at? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You will want to use the 1G cam gears with those. I don't know what you will notice on the TB, but I know a lot of people who swapped to the 1G cams and they all noticed pretty good improvements with them.
