hey i am having my motor rebuilt by a local machine shop and they are somwhat incompatent what do i need to tell them so they understand what i want. i want to run a n/t with 10.5:1 compression and have it bored 20 or more over. i want it to withstand a 100 shot of nitrous without blowing to peices so i figure i will need new rods. lastly i am having the balance shafts removed because this is what they recomend and the cams degreed because i dont know how to do that either. any input on what im doin is greatly appreiciated . thanks

Incompetent - Inadequate for or unsuited to a particular purpose or application.

If they can't do the proper job, don't give it to them to do. Best advice right there for you.

Yeah dont give the motor to them to build. Go with a shop that knows what the hell they are doing.

And personally I would be scared to run 10.5:1 compression ratio WITH nitrous. That doesnt seem to be a very freindly combo unless you pay close attention to tuning. I would feel safer with a lower comp ratio.
