alright guys...the time has come

On November 15th the engine is being pulled out of my car, ripped apart, built with forged rods and pistons, cams, the works....and its getting the star stage 2 slapped on. Anyways, I'll be taking tons of pictures. If anyone around the AZ area wants to shoot down to my house to help me..that would be great. Me and my friends are gonna work on it day and night so if any of you want to come to my house and get some free pizza and rebuild a 420a with me, feel free to PM..heh heh. So I've got everything, the turbo kit is on its way, the rods and pistons are bought along with the cams, retainers, springs, everything....ill be pushing hopefully 15psi and pushing upwards towards 280-300 to the wheels. Ok....but a question, what kinda clutch should i upgrade to, im thinking the ACT 2600....anything wrong with that? So ill be turboed and rebuilt pretty soon and if any wise DSM'ers wanna help me out lemme know

modernperfomance.com has clutchmasters. the guys that work there are pretty knowledgeable too, at least the ones i've talked to. they do alot of n/t eclipses and neons. hope that helps ya, would LOVE to come help but i'm just a bit out of range. best of luck, post lots of pics!!!
trust

o m g that is that f*** lier eclipse96ryder dont talk to this lier he do not desurve it.We are all waiting for his videos of his frak N/T for 2 moths already and we still havent seen any.

ya, haha

im a liar everybody. HAHA, shutup racer you dont even know me u dumbshit.

alright, so on to my question....should I get a 3" exhaust or staywith my 2.5" greddy???

I'm thinking 3" would be the way to go because with my setup 2.5" seems too small...?

turbo back, i believe, means that the piping goes from the turbo back to the muffler instead of from the cat. im not 100% sure on that one but i think i remember seeing that or something to the extent of that somewhere before. correct me if im wrong:dsm:

I dont need to know u to tell that u are a LIER.I say it cuz u did lie to me and many other ppl so u are the dumbshit cuz u are talking BS about ur NT "freak".:shhh:

racer, ive said millions of times

i dont have a camera u idiot. I dont even care, if u wanna mail me ur camera i will post vids the day i get the camera.

So all u n/t to turbo guys....what was ur first reaction when u drove ur turboed GS/RS, i have a feeling im just gonna smile for like a million hours

I have yet to get one of these fools let me drive theirs! I have helped install 2 different HRC kits, but they're always too busy. Fun to ride in tho! :p

Whereabouts are you located man? I may be able to get some of the local 2GNT guys to come give you a hand. Maybe on that Saturday too. One of us just swapped out his head for a new one only to find out it was his rings failing all along (always do the compression test FIRST!). We pulled my 420A 3 times and installed it twice. Forgot a damn o-ring on the bedplate. :(

We'd love to help out man. Stop by Pavilions this Saturday night (Nov 1). We'll be there.

Later

Well, either way man. We'll be there in about 5 hours or so. Damn! I gotta drive out to Sun City to detail the car between now and then!

Bro I hope you have some very mechanically inclined friends, I am not sure of your abilitied but that is the hardest damn motor I have ever pulled, Hondas, Fords, Chevys, and 1g's and the like are easy, hell I can swap a clutch in a 1g awd in a few hours but it took me for freaking ever to get the damn engine out of my 2gnt, there is so little room and they bolt shit in the wierdest places, I will never ever remove another one of those again, good luck with the project.

Haha! He does now!
We pulled the 420A out of an auto tranny 95 ESi parts car, then pulled the one out of my 97 MT, dropped the rebuild engine back into mine, then realized I forgot an o-ring and it was bleeding oil, had to pull it again, this time we left the trany in place and just pulled the motor. They're a bi*** for sure, but they aren't as bad unless it's 120 outside. :p

ok sweet, i kinda figured it would be tough, because its most definately not a honda. But I do have some pretty good mechanical friends, one of my friends rebuilt an '89 I-6 turboed Supra. I think it will be fun as well as one hell of a job
