vic,
well i finally got around to doing my exhaust. i have a pacesetter header and custom intake.
the piping is 2 1/4 mandrel bent from the header back with no cat but one resinator.....and i have a magnaflow dual 3.5" tip 5x9"oval muffler.
sounds good at idle, not much louder than stock, same with cruizin on the highway(2500-3000 in 5th).
when i punch it tho.....it lights up! decent loudness, nice low sound but a bit of raspiness too.......thinkin about putting the cat in to get rid of it but not sure if that will work.
pulls alot harder now and is a nice addition to my header....
so to all you 1g's out there, what muffler are you running and how does it sound and perform. do you have a cat or any resinators?
i'm planning on turboing soon or selling and buying a turbo, but this exhaust should be decent for when i go turbo.

i got it from a local company, paid 200 canadian......i get a nice discount there.....regularly 350.....
did more driving today and noticed that it sounded nice and deep up untill i hit 4000, then it started buzzin away like a honda.......if my windows are closed, it sounds nice in the car tho so it doesn't take much to cut out the noise.....this makes me think that the cat would help get rid of it.....maybe try it
