lately ive been getting 21 mpg's which i honestly think is bad.

i cant understand it, i replaced the plugs and wires like 2 months ago, replaced the pcv valve 2 days ago, rear o2 sensor i snapped, threw a cel and i replaced that, no vac leaks, car runs/idles fine and my a/f guage doesnt act abnormal. i was told my front o2 is on its way out, wouldnt that throw a cel as soon as it read low voltage? i mean my rear one did and especially on a 2g, u would think it would throw a cel or make my a/f guage act wack. ideas?

I get about 15-16 so don't feel bad...you have a turbo, you make power, you get bad gas mileage...for a while before I tuned it I was getting about 13.

There have been like 10000000 threads on this. I would suggest searching becaue people may not respond becasue they already have like 10 other times.

sorry about that. in the pic below is the fuel pressure solenoid i believe. the thing i circled rotates. why does it rotate? does it adjust something? anyone know???????

All I see is a red X, and before my 255 fuel pump install i was getting 350 miles to a tank ... s-afc was untuned and running at 19lbs of boost. After hi flow pump... 200-230 miles per tank with tuned s-afc and running at 26psi.

I get about 35mpg/400 miles per tank, but thats highway driving + drafting behind semi's doing 80. My car is mostly stock and FWD which saves wheight. Best way to get better gas mileage from what I've seen? Avoid boost at all costs.

right......... but can anyone tell me why not to turn it, what it does. dont just tell me dont turn it, tell me why. y shouldnt i turn it? its only the fuel pressure solenoid, how can it adjust anything?

just dont tell me not to do something and then dont explain.

It's a dust baffle. It does nothing. You can spin it until the cows come home.

Thank you for taking the hook. My apologies.

even when I am off boost all the time and just cruising on the highway...I only get about 20-21 mpg...and I logged this with DSMLink.

I used to get like 20-21MPG with just some basic mods around the city. Now, I get about the same on the highway (Of course, I drive 70-85 which doesn't help. The drop in gas mileage occured after the installation of a larger turbo (With which I'm running more boost) and a bigger fuel pump. My A/F ratio reads all the way to the maximum even when boosting to 17PSI in 5th gear. Looks like I need some tuning equipment, and maybe you do too.
