Computer Upgrade vs. Headers?

I wanted to buy Venom 400 but I see that many people say that it's not good. Buy If I will buy new upgraded computer for my talon N/T. It is easyer to instal than header and some guy that it will give me more power thn the headers. Price is about the same.How do you think which mode will give me more power?

Is it gonna fit in to the Eclipse Engines? AF/X Computer, 96 DOHC, Race, Manual ???? Yes I see it is for DOHC's engines. They have it only for Neon

If you do find a ECU... I think the street/strip would be better than the race. Race would prolly suit a heavly modified car.

Acctually you can't use the afx ECU because it's for a different year. There currently are no plans to make an ecu for our 95's (or any other years for that matter until people start buying the 96's). The 95 ECU's had several changes throughout their production so it makes it hard to do properly. As for the venom it's crap, so I would go with I/H/E or other mods.

Last thing I heard was to call howellautomotive and ask them about an Eclipse 2gnt ECU they said it's not listed on the site so you have to call. I only heard this, but it would make no sence if the NEON has one but the Eclipse dose not??

This is just a jet performance upgrade. If you want to waste $300 just send the ECU to me and I will put a sticker that says jet on and ship it back out with a report about it having 20 extra HP. Then you can tell everyone you got the kirbyjet upgrade with more power. The JET upgrades are worse than the venom 400's as far as scams go. There is a ECU available for the eclipse but only the 96 manual tranny ones, and you do have to call Howell for it.

jet performance and venom 400 will help you waste gas if that's what you want. call howell and ask what years they are working with the ecu's. to my knowledge, only 96 and 97 are availible.

But what about headers, everyone tels that GReddy header is cooool, is not waste of money, and it cost $400-500, did enybody tryed Pacesetter
Header, is it goona give the same performance like GReddy or almost nothing?

buy an engine management system from aem. if you have the money. thats what im saving for that and many other things but thats next on the list. you can tune your car the right way and free up lots of lost power. our cars are designed to be economical but i say screw that lets pollute]
