I a in for a new clutch and need one pretty quick..now an ACT would take me four to six weeks to get here and I cant really wait that long.I found RPS clutches now and they seem ok to me as well..Does anyone know anything about them?
I am thinking of a Stage three that holds 500ft/torque and is 55% stiffer than stock. Its a 6puck sprungdisc.Price is equal to ACT 2600 but I can get it right away.Is this a good clutch for a streetdriven car with 350HP(will be in s short while) car that wont go much trackstarts..maybe five per season?

It will be tough on the street. I know a guy that has and RPS stage 4 or 5 in his 3000GT and that thing is crazy for a street car. Anytime you do not get a street disc it will be harsh engagement.

My car came with some kind of "RPS turbo clutch", probably the street version??? Works OK, not real impressed, but it gets the job done fine... No complaints, but I don't get the "wow that works nice" feeling that some other clutches give me :)

well I was mostly thinki9ng of the stage three...since the ACT 2600 has a solid hub it should be even harsher then the RPS that has a spring hub..or am I wrong? Well whatever..*S*..I will probably try one of those two so...:)

Alot of Supra guys use the RPS clutch and it hasn't caused them many problems....just one time two people happened to crankwalk and they had that exact same RPS clutch(which i think had a puck disc, not sure), otherwise, RPS makes nice clutches.

i just had an RPS 2200 with a 6-puck disc installed in my 95 GST. i've only had it for a couple of weeks, but i'm definately impressed. the clutch holds and engages much smoother than the centerforce i previously had. i did the clutch with a fidanza flywheel and a quaife. so far so good. i definately like the clutch.

The best clutch to get is an ACT, end of story. Everyone has their own opinion, but out of the people you ask, most prefer the ACT over any other clutch. I have the ACT 2100 and absolutely love it. If I had an AWD I'd have an ACT 2600.

I have the act2600 pressure plate and a mitsu disk, bmtranny sold it too me saying that was the best setup, has it in his awd race car went 11.2 clutch still good, I'm putting it in now let you know how it goes.
