Radio shack has an adjustable voltage regulator for $1.99, part number 276-1778 is $1.99.
That seems pretty odd that it would require a 10v source though.. you would think you could just hook it to the cars power.

it was brought to my attention that if you tap the Fuel Pump relay that's a 12V source. The idea of a voltage regulator did cross my mind but I had no idea it would be only 2 bucks. ill check that out at Radio Shack.
