upgraded valve body???

do any of you guys know why an upgraded valve body would help me since im an automatic? people keep tellig me to get an upgraded valve body because it would help my automatic, but i dont know what it is, what it does, or even where to get one. can somebody please help.

I dont know alot about the auto. but I never really hear of anyone getting a new vavle body but I know a shift kit will greatly improve your shifting... Ive never done one in an import but have done alot on mustangs and it made a noticable diff. its very easy to do.

oh yeah your valve body is what controls your transmission shifts.

on some cars you replace the entire valve body to help shifting, on dsm's you put a shift kit into the stock valvebody to stiffen shifting, thats all that aftermarket valve bodies are anyway, shift kit already installed so you just bolt it in
