I was j/w, how much HP can the 420a actually handle? I'm shootin for about 200hp w/o turbo and nos. Can the engine even take 200hp w/o replacing internals? If you know how much it can handle or are running over 200hp w/ the 420a, your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

ive been asking myself the same question over and over and thats why I'm getting a GST or GSX in a few months.....if i wasnt getting married in September I'd be in one right now.

I have a header, cat back, CAI and I dyno'd at 134 to the wheels which is = to about 154 total hp......+20 from stock but a long way from your goal....

I dont know your situation but I'd save up and get a GST or GSX.....I've had my N/t for 18 months now and I've been asking this question for 12 of them.....

the 420A can handle around 270 hp. after that you need to build up the internals. You can make our n/t fast it just takes a bit more work.

And good luck trying to get 200hp w/o turbo or nos. Its very difficult.

Trust me, I would go out and buy the GSX/GST if I could. But im just a 17yr old kid w/ a part-time job. One I can't afford it and two my insurance would sky rocket upwards! Thanks for everything though guyz. I have just one more question though. How much HP, to the wheels, does the 46g3 engine have?

I think SIU is right about the hp, it might even be a little less. The stock T25 is only good to about 280hp properly modded (give or take). After that you will need a better turbo.

ah hah! It can handle 300 to the crank....but it's difficult to get more than 200 to the wheels in n/a form. I'd like to get there before I boost - but that's a tall order.

I was lookin at the new Import Tuner and in the power pages a awd talon dynoed at like 152 wheel hp and i dont remember whar the torque was. And 200 or 210 is at the crank.

And i have read on the hahn sight that the 420a can handle around 300 hp befor needing internal mods. If I rremember correctly because its been a whil since I have been to their sight.

you are correct the 420a can handle up to max 270-300 before any internals need to be modded. but like they say it woudl be hard or atleast i think it would to get to 200 hp in n/a form. but hey that is where all the fun comes in just trying to get there. good luck with it.
