hey guys i finally got my aem ems and i have a 96 gst with a 6 bolt swap with a

-16g evo ported and flappered turbo.
-magnus intake manifold
-upper/intercooler pipes and greddy type s
-24r greddy front mount.
-550 injector clinic
-2100 act with fidanza flywheel
-unorthodox pulley
-coil on plug
-255 walbro fuel pump
-currently set at 16 pounds of boost.
and all other basic supporting like intake, downpipe, exhaust.

I have installed the aem ems and have not turned the car on yet. i need to set everything at its basic settings and i was having the common"multiple misfire" before. im hoping that with this standalone i can eliminate that. and how? i need also the se basic settings for this setup, so i can get this monster started.

From the sounds of things, you are in over your head. If you don't know what to do to get it started, it's unlikely you'll be able to get it driveable. If you want to give it a shot everything you need to know is in the users manual, but I think you should take it to a professional.

U can send me an IM on AIM at UWouldLose if you are having problems with the AEM, I don't mind helping out.

thanks 4 da help. i just went ahead and took it to the shop to a professional. they did a great job and everything is running smooth and powerful with the aem ems. so far i like the aem. i have heard of a lot bad things and the past but now with all these new versions of software. Aem seems like the best choice 4 me. Thanks guys.

PS> i got rid of misfire and check engine lights. venting to atmosphere with no problem with the 3.5 map sensor. i love it.:thumb:

The firmware always has bugs, I would make a backup copy of your map just incase something happens.

the aem kicks @ss man. believe me. i set up and tuned 10 aem cars in the last 4-5 months and every person that i have done it for loves it. it is great. there is so much stuff in that software got luck
