Ok, I need a new dipstick as mine is worn out. Here is my question... I have a 6 Bolt motor, but used the dipstick tube (thats is what I call it) from my 7 bolt 2 G motor. I have heard that the dipsticks are different and would like the right one for a proper oil reading. What one should I get? 1G or 2G? I was thinking that mabey the top of the tube had a different height or somthing, I dunno. I know they are different part numbers (mabey the only dif. is that a 1G is metal and a 2G is plastic?). Thanks is advance.

Not too sure about the differences between the two but a brand spakin new one is only like $15. Head over to the stealership and pick one up.
