I'm trying to get my knock down around or less then 7deg raw knock for full advance timing without water/meth. It's not working. I've tried drowning out knock with fuel running 11.5 up to 10.8ish but it didn't work. looks like I'm going to have to attack the timing sliders & dip into the -1,-2 area. Which I didn't want to do, but oh well. I'm street tuning this 14b at 17-18psi. I would like some advice.

You are knocking from 3700 up. Your fuel sliders look really lean. So i would add fuel from 3500 up and do another pull.

PLXM300 is accurate to about .01 in my logs. I'm conservatively tuned at 11.5, notice around 5500RPM how it drops from 11.8 to 10.3 at 6000rpm.. I should actually take more fuel out to keep it leanier and take -2 clicks out from 3500+ and repost. I know I need injectors running 90% IDC..

Aside from that I'm curious about my boostest/GM33bar readings. They don't match up from 5000-6000rpm's. That and 31.7lb/min seems a bit high on a 14b at 13.6psi at 6300rpm. I appreciate your post. Don't hesitate to comment.

You're going to lean it out even though you are knocking? LOL
I wouldnt call 11:5 conservative on pump. It's supposed to be an ideal tune but some cars like to run richer so i would tune for no knock at this point.

Or, you can leave the fuel where it's at and mess with the timing.

You have a stock mas?

I did a 3rd & 4th gear pull on thre freeway tonight on the way home. It felt like the strongest pull I've ever done on this little 14b. I even hit 33lb/min airflow at 6200rpm with 95% IDC at 10.2 AFR. I think I might be able to hit 35-36lb/min with this thing on Meth and larger injectors.

I added a few + clicks on the fuel sliders above 4000rpm and too -2 deg from the timing from 3000rpm-7000rpm. It's a start.

Better, but you need to add more fuel. I would do one variable at a time. Adding fuel and retarding timing doesn't tell you what reduced the knock. I like to do one thing at a time so i know how it is affecting the car. Definitely a lil better tho :thumb:

I'd check out base timing first. Then start pulling some timing. It just might not be possible to run 17-18psi on pump gas with a 14b, and your current intercooler setup. Or, you might be running too much boost, or too much timing. I know for sure, I wouldn't mess with the fuel sliders at all. If anything, I would adjust fuel sliders to have the entire curve right around 11.3:1 on straight 93 octane. If it still knocks, start pulling timing at 500 rpm BEFORE the knock starts. Take out a few degrees at a time until the knock goes away.

Base timing is a must here. I would say turn the ol boost down. Start around 15psi and zero your fuel sliders out. Just because your using methonal doesn't mean you can go as lean as you are. Start out slower and that knock will disappear. Good luck.

Base timing was set. I had a timing belt done 2 weeks ago at the dealership after a cracked valvecover soaked my belts. I'm not running Methinal yet. I'm just getting knock down to a resonable level before I run water, then methenal.

I brought my fuel down to 11.1 and took 2 deg out from 3-4k and bumped up boost to 20psi and got 1-2 deg knock. Excecpt when I did NLTS in 2nd, but thats a diffrent story. Now that I know where I can push my setup I've taken my boost down to 16psi. No knock. Thanks guys.

New log! 20psi, 10.5AFR. I took 1% fuel out from 5000+ after the log, but havn't done another log. I'll see if that taked my knock retartd down past 1deg. I think it looks pretty good for pump gas. What do you guys think?

I bet your knock is coming from you having the timing advanced from 5k up. I would bring them back to 0 and then tune for slightly leaner afr's with the stock timing maps. Once you have that done, you can slowly add timing.

I've tried turning for lower AFR's on 17, 18, 18.5, 19, and now 20psi. I just can't seem to get leaner then 10.4-10.5 on pump gas without getting knock. I wish I would had brought my laptop to work with me today; there was absolutly no one on the freeway coming to work! Oh well.

I'll be tuning H20 injection next week.. I should be able to lean my AFR's out around 11:1then.
