r we able to drop our engine in the bay with the tranny attached? or is it a real bi***? not worth it?

I did this with my cousin a couple weeks ago and he's an auto with a bigger looking tranny than the manual. We used an engine hoist with the car supported on jackstands in the grass in his backyard. We tilted the tranny side down first into the engine bay and the rest was easy. I know it's kind of late now but thought I would share my .02.

speed127 said:defenatly worth doing!!! With a lift and an engine hoist I was able to drop the engine out the bottom with the tranny still on the motor in about an hour, start to finish. Putting it back in was a little more difficult because you kinda got to get the tranny and engine twisted right, and that took about 2 hours, total (includding hooking everything back up). Totally the best way to do it.
