if im not mistaken apexi afc controllers are universal right? so if i buy one off ebay that says its for a different car it doesnt matter because i still will be able to install it on my car right?

Right now I have a 93 TSI AWD the following mods:

3" turboback exhaust with 3" high flow cat
manual boost control at 15 psi
K&N air filter with hacked air can
Free mods in addition to removal of fog lights

As my next mod, I will definitely upgrade to the 3000GT fuel pump & rewire the pump. I was told I can safely go to 17 psi with this upgrade. Now I am also seriously thinking of adding a SAFC or AFR at the same time. Assuming that the AFC is properly calibrated, does anyone have an idea of the max safe-boost level I can run when coupled with the pump ugrade (and running 94 octane)? Also, what kind of 1/4 mile can I expect with and without the AFC. I am on a tight budget now so I don't want to have to get bigger injectors and/or an upgraded fuel regulator (which I know is common practice).

If you aren't upping the injectors, making the MAF larger, or putting on a different turbo do you think you will really need a SAFC?

I mean, I honestly don't think it will do that much. Once you upgrade injectors, get a 2g MAS, or get a bigger turbo then I can see you needing one.

Right now I run a fmic, walbro 255, 15psi, and free mods... I don't need any tuning. I just put on a SAFC for when I throw 660s on tomorrow though.

If you have plans for the future, do it. If you think you can run more boost because you have one, don't do it.
