Help with MS again.
Car is done finally...But doesn't stay on because its running too rich. The car backfires alot and the throttle has to be opened and closed for it to stay on. We tried adjusting one of the values and everything changed and a bunch of warnings came up. There is no more base map anymore so How can I get the base Map again or what do we do?

I had similar behaviour when I first fired up on my 1G. The problem was that I borrowed an msq file with settings from someone else and they were for 950cc injectors. Once I changed required fuel to my injector size (which was 450cc at the time) then it ran good. It was getting almost twice as much fuel as it should have been getting.
The other thing is that once you get some basic settings entered make sure you save your msq file so that if you somehow mess up the settings you can reload the old ones again.

You should have been getting half the fuel that you need if you were set up to run 950's and were using 450's. Anyway green if you still need help send me your msq. Pm me for my email addy.

Hey sorry its been awhile. Progress and then some set backs. I finally got rid of the error message sayint the ms and mt couldn't communicate we changed the configurations. But the MAP sensor is reading 67 KPa's with the car off. Now I have a 4 bar map sensor and the msq file has the pressure to 250 kpa I believe. But if you suck or blow on the vacuum hose with the car on the Map sensor doesn't budge. With the car on it went down a few KPa's but nothing major. The car still runs super rich and can not stay on without constantly giving it gas. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the ini file set up for the 6400 map sensor. I bet that is your problem.

had the same problem on my 1g. Read up a little more and bam problem solved. Also remember if you have tables you want to save and use after you change the settings you should go in and export your tables before you make the map sensor change. Then afterwards import your tables back in.

Ok its been awhile but I have been busy with other things. I got the prior problem situated but the car still is running super rich and the car will back fire like crazy. The base map that came with my MS was not enough. I know It will still take a lot of correction but could someone with a turbo 2.0 fuel/spark mods for ms v2.2 post a msq file of a running car so at least we have a better point in which to start... my email is ckypeter2000@yahoo.com
or you can pm it to me please need help ASAP I need the car to run any help is greatly appreciated.

Peter, check to make sure the Barometric correction is "OFF" in the constants window. I have recently found that the 300kpa and 400kpa has issues if its on. I am pretty sure another member here found that out. I think when I built many of the MS's I had not used that function so when one member happened to find the problem, I had no idea what to look into other than the vehicle could have been the issue. For some reason I turned it on and while testing this past weekend, I found it to be an issue.
My map should be in your CD, if the car is running rich then drop the idle bins down to the 20'2 and rework the idle. I found that with the flyback board, my current map runs very rich. So using a map from a car without the flyback and yours has the flyback, then your VE table will need to be "shifted" down.
If you load my map from the CD, get the car warm and dial the idle bins down to where the car idles at 13.5afr. Now subtrace the current idle value from the original value. That is your "Shift" value. Now shut the car off and retunr the values to what they were before you started. In the VE panel us the drop down "Tools", you want to choose the "table transform" selection. A window will pop up, choose "SHIFT" and insert the + or - value. To shift the table down 5 you would use -5 for example.
The VE values will affect the afterstart and warmup values.
Terry
