OK, I am a new member so let me tell you about my car....

I have a 92' Elcipse 2.0 16-valve DOHC...
Right now its sitting in my driveway, drivable but only on tree cylinders, I think I burned the engine out...

Anyways I am considering of buying a new engine... Here is my delema....

I want to buy the turbo engine, will and what problems will I run into installing this engine, and what else do I need...
Do I nee a new?
ECU
Electirical Wiring
and anything else...

Also I was thinking of getting an engine of a GSX, also getting a GSX tranny and drivetrain, will I have any problems putting these into my car or not...

Also do any of you know where can I get these parts and how reliable these places are and what price range I am looking at for the parts...

Thank You

Any help is appreciated...

As far as I know, the turbo engines motor mounts are in different places than the non turbo. What you might want to do is spend the money on rebuilding the non turbo and then get a turbo kit for it.

If you are going to get a GSX engine and drivetrain, why don't you judt buy the GSX and save yourself a whole lotta work tryin to swap all the stuff. Sell your car and sink that money into the GSX if you are planning to do what you want to.

I am not flaming you, I drive a NT also ( turboed ), but it seems like you are trying to create yourself a lot of work. Good luck

Actually, i think the motor mounts are in the same places on a 1g. Just stick with the turbo engine swap for now. you will need pretty much everything from the turbo model including ECU, fuel pump, injectors, you need to run a knock sensor somehow (not sure), etc....
don't mess with the drive train stuff unless you have a LOT of time, money, and experience, if you really want AWD then just buy a gsx or tsi AWD.

Thanks guys,

Yeah I'll probably end up getting a turbo engine, or maybe build up my current engine and put on a turbo kit later....

The reason is I am building this car up for autocrossing... That is the main reason I wanted the GSX.....

I have a few grand that will go into the eninge, but buying a used GSX is out of the question...
