ive got a 2 gen eclipse non turbo conversion with a t3t4 upgrade...i want to invest in a new computer such as the plug and play...everywhere i look has it for the turbo model...does anyone know if this will also fit my car and work properly..please help..thanks

Well you could probably get the Universal one to fit (AEM) but I dont know of anyone that has done it. Probably for you, since the price is relatively the same, is better to get the Accel DFI 7 ecu and go from there. That way you can maybe call up HRC in the future and ask them for help, as it looks like theyre headed in that same direction of using that item for their turbo setup.

Guys, this dude is a troll, please dont' feed the trolls. He has posted the same question in 4 different forums. Read his profile, his mods list, so on. Someone ban him and let tuners get on with life.

Yeah cool im a troll...havent heard that term since elementary school...my bad if i posted it in other areas...dont cry over it...for a marine u sure do act like an ass...probably cuz ur not really a marine.. ...by the way im sure my t3t4 setup would smoke that talon......

PS Thanks Initial DSM for the input...its a shame some people would rather write shit comments

You could make some serious cash with that AEM computer if you know some people that would like better numbers. It should work, I think it just plugs into the ECU, go for it, it's a good investment

Prove me wrong, where did you buy your "JE Rods"? Whats the AR on your compressor on your T3/T4? 550 cc injectors huh? would love to hear about your setup. James (suieclipse) made 349 hp with a set of 440's and they were not maxed out so you must be making what, 500+ huh? what are you using as fuel management? also what type of fuel pressure regulator? Just Curious is all. And which Talon do you want a piece of. I have two. And yeah, I am a jarhead, what about it?

Come on man, I am waiting, I will "eat crow" as soon as you come close to proving to me you are not a troll. I am positive you cant. Let's here the excuses as to why you can't answer any of my questions.

My reasoning for not replying is cuz im not a computer nerd...i have what we call a full time job and a life on the weekend...i dont have time to just come online and bullshit...if u dont sorry to hear that...i thought marines were supposed to be defending our country ....not arguing over stupid childish shit...so where are u at now...obvisously not in the middle east...and sorry about the typo ...supposed to be eagle rods and je pistons...but oh well...and as for the 550s who said im maxing them out either...why not just spend the extra few bucks and upgrade from the 440s...im asking the question about the aem plug and play cuz thats what i want to use for my fuel management...but anyway i dont want to get into anymore of this shit cuz im starting to feel like 5 years old...u can argue back with me if u want but from now on im gonna chill....i dont wanna start shit with someone i dont know...im sure ur cool and its all good...im just here trying to learn more about dsms...so im done with the negativity...good luck with ur car and have a good one

I would not call what I am doing trying to start anything. A lot of trolls come onto this board, many pass misinformation and many an uneducated soul will get swallowed up by it and not know any better. Not to mention the fact its hard to believe anyone would have all that done to a car and no know you can't swap a 4g63 motor into it, much less want to becuase in fact, with a built bottom and and good tuning, you can make as much if not more power than a 4g motor. As for the little middle east comments, try again bud. I was in the hell hole from Jan 13th when the first troops went till late May, home for 3 months and now I am back again in the neighborhood, not in country anymore but close. And as to why I am on the net a lot, I am incharge of the maintenance now so I have a desk job with a lot of down time although I sit here for about 14 hours a day, playing on the net keeps my sanity.

And to answer your original question, there is no plug and play for the420A motor, you can buy the full race universal one but to get anything out of it, you will have to buy sensors as well. Since it is also a universal, there is no base tuning map for the car so it will not even crank and run when you put it in. Since no one has this in a 2gnt, no one will be able to email it to you for you to get started, once you do manage to crank the car over, it will require a LOT of dyno time and you will end up with about 4k into a standalone that was nto really needed in the first place. And by the way, in your last post, you commented on having a full time job so you were not going to take the time to answer the questions, well, you could have answered the questions in half the typing. But then again, what do I know.:thumb:

I would get a DFI 7 once again because there are people on 2gnt.com that have that in.
A cheaper route would be to get a Gredyy e-manage piggy back system which I heard works well.
Up there in prices are Motech and Electromotive TEC3 stand alone unit.
These and AEM would of course have to be installed and dyno tuned the same day.

AFX ecu is plug n play but only for 97's . Youd have to call Howell Automotive to ask if you can get away with a 98'.
You'd prolly still need to tweak it with an afc or e-manage or mega squirt.

DFI 6 runs off a distributor and is stand alone. you also an need igntion box. you can use that for fuel only then , or fabricate a custom distributor to throw on. There is one in the works tho..

I have a DFI 6 and am waiting for the distributor to be done by next month. My friend got it done for his 4G63 and runs off a msd ignition and Mazda mx6 distributor running a T66 turbo. Tuning cost him around $200

Yes as of now the only stand alones for the 2gnt are only capable of running fuel. There are several of these available the DFI, the 8 inj setup, AEM (you could use it for fuel only), etc. As the guy's above have stated there is no plug and play system for the 2gnt so you will have to fab something or be the first to dump about 3-4g's and develop a base map. Then you could give it to everone else and we could all run the AEM.
