I'm rebuilding a spare engine for my car and plan on using nitrous on once it's in the car. WILL LARGER FUEL INJECTORS AID IN USE OF NITROUS? I just got a set of higher flow injectors (too cheap to pass up) and don't know if they will increase performance and/or reliability with the laughing gas.
Also... does anybody know where to get the best price on valve adjusters?

I installed the larger injectors and the car runs stronger. COULD THIS MEAN THAT THE OLD INJECTORS WERE WORE OUT? OR IS IT THAT THE NEW INJECTORS ADDED MORE POWER ON THEIR OWN?

It jsut means you're burning more fuel. You were probably running a little on the lean side with the stock injectors.

Running nitrous REQUIRES more fuel. If you run a wet nitrous kit, it'll inject the additional fuel for the amount of nitrous you're using. Safer than a dry kit. I just put in a 50 shot. Love it.

Thanks for the info. If I was running lean, I'm glad the new injectors perked her up. My car's about to turn 170,000 miles and needs all the help it can get. I've just started on tearing down my spare engine and the plan is to freshen it up for nitrous first. I've just bought a turbo system from a local salvage yard off of a 91' turbo 2.0 car. I'm going to rebuild this turbo and fabricate a steel header for it. I'm going to install a factory intercooler as well, but will need to get the piping when I'm ready to build another engine that can handle both nitrous and turbo. I've got a lot to learn about turbo's in general before I even think about going through the time and expense. I don't even know what size the turbo I bought is. I paid $75.00 for it including the down pipe and waste gate. I got it mainly to tear it apart and see what makes em' tick.

isn't your engine fried?

and i think you should stay with stock and get a dry system.

My car is about 100 miles from 170,000. It still runs strong but I'm not crazy enough to slap 75 horses of nitrous on it. I'm rebuilding my spare engine now and I am keeping it stock other than porting the head. When I install the fresh motor in my car I'll slap the nitrous kit on it.
