I follow procedure in haynes manual but when i do the 2 rotation to check mywork i alwaysba halfatooth off from marks lining up. Why does it keep doing that am i doing somehing wrong. The marks are linedbup until i turn the crankshaft. What do i need to do for it to stay right or is something throwing it off to keep ending up like that. Could it be the camshaft position sensor telling itit to go into that position

Try setting it one tooth off in the opposite direction when you are installing the belt, this will let is line up correctly, also make sure the tensinor is adjusted right, had this happen many, many times on my 4g63... very frustrating.

I had the same issue and I changed my tensioner and that solved the issue for me. Also make sure when you take the pin out of the hydralic tensioner that you can put the pin back in.
