I feel like this whole thread is bench racing in a ####ed up, inadvertant way. Eh, I'm in!
Haha, j/k. But seriously guys, alot of items out there are made for a buck, and may not even deliver what you payed for. It seems quite a few are jumping the gun here.
Seriously, to all who've actually used this, WHAT noticeable difference do you see? Smoother RPM range? How do you know the air wasn't cooler that night and gave you some extra pep? (notice it in my car all the time) There's just so many variables with a minimal product like this that it's hard to claim something from it.
Anyone else vouching here? I say all who bought this give us some feedback once installed..

Ill order one if the dyno results come back positive, even tho it might not increase HPorTQ by much.
If it does even out teh power through the range I totaly think its worth it.

Legitimate points, Blitz. Here's why I bought one; I am familiar with Darrell Cox Racing. I am familiar with Aaron. Both of these people/businesses have a good reputation on the boards that I am on (specifically the Neon boards). I am having a problem with getting past 204.1whp with my set-up (this after an excellent P+P with valve relief). There is a POSSIBILTY that my lifters are hardening. Looking at the research and examples shown, I'm believing that this mod will allow for more control over my lifters. That's my reasoning for trying this.
That being said, my intent is to isolate this on the dyno (I have a couple of other things to test as well). BUT, we all know how dyno plans change, once you're on there  . Remember dyno time ain't cheap, and this comes out of my pocket. So though I love to help the community, I'm sometimes strapped by the economics
So, we'll see.......

I guess my pizza analogy got deleted but anyway like Mark said DCR is a reputable comapny and know what they're doing. It would be like if SHep came on here saying this small mod made his car run better it could cost 200 bucs and just because he uses it people woul dbuy it on GP alone. I compare this mod to eliminating BS(balance shaft) on a 4g63. You don't do it because it will add power per-say eventhough some people claim so but just on the idea that it makes for better running condition in general.

Then add a Tornado intake, Slick-50, AmsOil, Z-Max and an electric supercharger, and you've doubled your power.
I don't know that DSM lifters pump-up. I don't know about Neons. Of course the story sounds good, that's the first step. But so far as I understand them, hydraulic lifters aren't affected by oil pressure. They have their own valving that only cares that enough oil is available, and they take it from there.
Let's hope these dyno numbers show up sooner than the cowl tuft video did (such as it was).

Well lik usual I couldn't wit and I put mine in  . I do have a atermarket oil pressure gague so I can keep track of what oil pressure is compared to what it was. took exactly 26 minutes to install including 5 minutes of taing pictures and another 5 taking it out of the wrong whole and putting it into the right one DOH lol!

You dont have to specify for which head it is ...because the oil modifier it in both the srt and 420a head

Um, can anyone get one of these into my hands by friday? Apparently, I'm getting burned by the guy I bought mine from and haven't seen it (or had responses from my pm's). I have the car set to dyno this weekend with some changes and I want to try to isolate the modifier on the dyno. I put in an e-mail to DCR, but haven't heard from them yet. Time is running out.

Did it atleast limit the amount of oil pressure up top like they said? I was kinda having a hard time excepting the fact that just by lowering oil pressure you would add power unless it was high enough that it was messing stuff up which I have never heard from anyone with a 420a. I do think it will be a better mod for people going turbo looking to rev high but that 100whp gain is a isolated situation with this srt-4

I definitely believe that it limited pressure up top. So much so that it was a detriment to power. I think that was the problem. My guess is that the lifters themselves couldn't maintain and were collapsing.

I'll give you a chance to look at my dyno sheets to see if you want to hold to that statement.
Let's start off by prefacing this with my car's specifics;
2.0 NA, 12.5 comp, Crower 3's, Crower springs, SS valves, P+P head, 8200 redline, 2.4 valve train, MSnS, I guess that's the pertinent stuff.
Wether or not the SRT reacts differently, I can't say.
The car ran basically the same line up to peak powerish (actually a couple of slight gain spots).

(I don't know why we didn't use the 204.9 run, lol)
But right before peak we had the waterfall happen. Here's a more focused shot:
You can see how it just starts falling off. We did three runs (the red, extended one is obviously without the mod). First run had the cooling off time of me putting in the mod while the car was on the dyno (maybe 15 minutes tops from shut off to start up). That was the "best" one (the pink? one). Then we did two more pretty much back to back (that held pretty much the same line).
To me that is definitive proof that this mod does not do what it says it does. No bashing, no hatred, no anger, no axe to grind, just the facts as I see them.
