Well... I'm finding more and more machine shops are making a clear differentiation between "machining" and "fabricating." I would look for a metal fabricator.
Also, I'm sure I can have one CNC milled from a block of steel if someone wants to send me a spare clutch fork to digitize.

Where they hell are you now? You up here or down there? I can run you up a fork (I got a couple kickin' around) for dimension sake. I'm NOT saying I'm in or anything (yet). I'm not doing my turbo project (yet), so I don't have a use for the fork (yet). But if it will help others and you want, I can get one to you.

I'm still up here... for another two weeks at least. I hate to make you come all this way just for a shift fork. I don't mine paying you a few dollars just to ship it.

If they're made, count me in. I could definately use that part when I install MS. Clutch fork problems is the last thing I want on the track/dyno..

there is nothing wrong with them.
...there just not for me,
I wanted a cam that was very aggressive and more of a race profile than a daily driver.

i was going to go with a 274 duration wit hlift being just under a half inch
but
that cam profile might have been too agressive i remember rading on neons.org that cams with a very high duration at high rpm like to pop off the rockers soooo being that i can not find after market rockers right now im trying to find a company that will make a custom set for me.....
any suggestions

Hey man,
Those are some pretty hefty numbers. I wouldn't go for anymore duration that what you are looking at now. If you feel after you have them on that you need more then by all means dial that in on the cam gears. As for the lift, are you shaving the head any? What's the comp again? I'm a little concerned about that much lift (.465) with the high rev that you were talking about doing. Did you check the geometry on that set-up? I'm concerned about the C3's hitting (though I'm going 12.1's with the .020 shave) much less the special grind that you are looking at.

i think he will be fine, i did an all motor build a while back that the customer did not finish but it won the dyno day at NHRA two years back (check website for verification) and after shaving the head 12.5:1 JE's the comp was around the 13.1 to 13.5 range ( all math done by a machine shop and compression gauge read around 280 to 300 on all cylinders after it was done and broke in) it also has crower stage 3's in it and had no problems, one of the cams even broke on the setup and caused the belt to break and barely i mean BARELY bent two valves. just an fyi.
the car made 166whp but nhra put 162 because they dont know how to type or some shit, this was with no tuning and AF's in the low 10s to high high 9s.

Justin, you just saved me a bit of time and concern. Great info! Must have shaved the sheit out of that head to pull comp to the 13's. Approx values of .050 shaved. Though I did shave my 4g63 to .053ish (?) with FP2's and got away with it.
 Love the AF's
