Your engine bay is so sick. Seems like at that point you should have gone air to water, but I'm sure your builders know better than I do!

Yes i wanted to go with an air to water but due to the regulations in SFWD it dose not allow it unless it was OEM and came equiped with one from the factor.

Lets just hope that small lil intercooler can cool the air enough before exiting the outlet.... Inside the end tanks of the IC, are there like some air spliters to space out the air thats being forced through? Cause if not.... you have only half of an intercooler thats working. And the hottest part of the IC is up there where the bumper is covering...

DSM-Zero... could you give us a small description of how much this guy is charging you for some of these things? Cause seriously, I'll put my car up as a bet to prove that mostly everyone here loves his work and would love to see if he could setup some mass produced parts for our cars... Like not the stuff that he's doing for your car... but similar... T3/T4 Exhaust Manifolds, Mounts, downpipes, Intercooler piping for like a Regular style FMIC... And ofcource your lovely Valve Cover! hehe... IF that guy could make me an Manifold for around the same price I'd be paying for a Star/Treadstone Manifold, and a nice 3" Downpipe to end where the GST's 3" cat starts.. that would be the shiznet!
Like AJAX's Manifold! Woot Woot!
|
Ok... this thread is getting way out of hand. It was originally going to be moved into the Hangout, but I let it stay here. No more asking if his shop can make start mass producing something, and no more speculating on times, power, what *might* happen, etc.. Let's stick to asking solid technical questions. If you're post got deleted, you know why...

and hopeing to god it starts and runs... after all this lovely work, it would be a kick in the nuts if nothing worked because something that should have been taken care of at the begining was lost from the mind and never done! Moment of truth is upon us!

Wow, I have watched this thread from the beginning. This car is definately coming along VERY nicely. I hope that the wiring goes smooth and is cranks up with little problems. I am definately looking forward to seeing when the car is together and some dyno/track footage. Good luck DSMZERO.

no the turbo dose not have a 4" discharge, it is a 3'' V-band off the turbo then goes into flex joint then it flares into 4''.....
The V-band at the flare has one side stainless and the other side is alum.

So its 3" directly out of the Turbo... and then the two wastegates enter and it goes to 4" or are the Wastegates just open air?

What kind of muffler does it have to be? Can it be like a farter can style, or does it have to be like a real muffler (ie. Flowmaster, borla)?
There are these mufflers that look somewhat like OEM mufflers... but are straight through and come in 3" and more sizes... you could make something similar to the Thermal mufflers... but how it works out for your situation.

it can either be a can style or a muffler. Just as long as it is a functional ehaust system.
here is a link to the Burns ultralite
http://www.burnsstainless.com/Ultral...temuffler.html
its more of a resignator then anything else
