For some odd reason when i accelerate very slightly at goes and then kinda stops for a second but then gets back and runs fine. This only happens when the RPMS are 1200 or below and im accelarating very slightly.

At first i thought it was my ignition wires - figured maybe it wasn't getting the spark it needs. Then I changed them and it still happens every once in a while. But now i notice that my gas meter is going down really fast - like from just over 1/2 to just under 1/2 in about 10-15 miles of driving. So now i'm thinking its a fuel filter issue, but my acceleration isn't choppy at all.

I am changing my oil tomororw - as i havent changed it in a while, and i NEED a new air filter for my CAI as its fairly dirty....BUT any ideas on what it is?

bad gas mileage + stalling under mild acceleration = Upstream o2 sensor.

The reason it stalls under mild acceleration is because its running rich and not able to burn the fuel efficiently.

The exact same problem I had about 3 weks ago. I have had the new one in for 3 weeks now and my gas mieage drastically increased and my accleration is smooth regardless of how aggressively i push the throttle.

go here---> www.oxygensensors.com

They have the best prices and fast free shipping. cost me 49 dollars.

Weird - i changed the o2 sensor not even a year ago....

Def changing oil/air filter tomorrow ... will check the plugs, but my hunch would be on the o2?

could very well be the o2 sensor.

Call me old-school, or cheap, but I'm the kind of guy that likes to do basic diagnostics to narrow down (or pinpoint) a problematic system (or device) before I start buying stuff. Although I have bought things in the past, hoping that was the issue. Sometimes with luck, sometimes just wasting my money.
