Front Mount Intake for 1G Eclipse

i was looking on ebay and the front mount intakes are pretty nice, and cheaper then an injen or weapon R intake (only choices for 1G NT's) i was wondering if i could mount one on my 93 GS 2.0 the only problem i figured id have is mounting the MAS. is there any way i can get around that? has anyone ever seen this done to a 1G DSM?

Don't get it. Better results from a regular AEM intake.

Plus it looks #@%#@%#@% and people will point and laugh

the only intakes made for the first gen non turbo was injen (200 bux) and weapon R (180 bux) there is nothing special to these intakes and was looking for something that not everyone had. that stupid MAS is gonna be a problem though, so ill probably end up spending 200 bux on the injen intake anyway.

I spent like $15 for my cone filter back in the day. Did its job and I saved that $185 extra towards a turbo kit.

At one point I had a large pipe over my MAS, and it angled down were the silencer box is, and I put a K&N cone on it. It gave me a big boost in power, but i took it off because of all the rain here in Miami. its an Idea, but it is a custom thing you have to do.
