ok my car ran fine until i installed an intake and cat back exhaust and now it is running really rich...when i start it in the morning it searches for idle...up and down and up and down....then when i give it gas it bogs real bad till it gets warmed up...once warmed up it runs perfect all day. it blows black smoke out the back when i crank it (not like thick black smoke) and you can smell the gas in it....what would be a way to fix this? BISS screw, do i need a AFC? i figured getting more air and exhaust would run it leaner...not trying to squezze evry drop of HP out of this car just want it to run smooth but not have to be all the stock stuff back on..thanks for any and all help

If that is all that you have done to your car so far, it could possibly be the o2 sensor  It is hard to give a diagnosis with only this information to use. I just felt sorry that no one was responding for ya and decided to try to give some feedback to help you out, or to at least start with. How about your intake sensor? Is that still hooked up to the factory wiring, or did you have to mess with that at all when you put the intake in? I believe that these are the two sensors that would determine the richness of the fuel. They both register the amount of air and/or the temperature of air coming in or going out. This is where I would start looking. If one of these is not quite right, it will cause the computer to jump up the richness to match the new amount of air coming in and going out. Just a thought, good luck :thumb:
