kirtland,
Hey , im about to make a test pipe for my car and was wondering how much louder is it. Also was wondering to go striaght pipe or resonated pipe. I have problems findin the resonator ( i gone from napa to muffler shops ) no body has the size I need. Im bout ready to use just a piece of piping . How much difference in sound it will make. Im a welder so this will be easy to make. I dont want a honda :barf: wine or a raspy tone.

Go on ebay and do a search for hi-flo catalytic convertors. What you'll find are a bunch of resonator pipes. I've got one for my 1st gen, and I'm very pleased with it. It's a bit louder, but not much. It definately changes the exhaust tone over to something a little throatier.

Its cheaper than buying one and will take my 5 min. How much did your tone of your exhaust change?
