So stock 98 GS have 2.0's correct? so can i put a 2.4 block and stroke kit on it and expect some decent power out of it? how much of a gain do you think i will get. If i get full exhaust headers back...intake...short shifter...and cam, w/the 2.4 and a lil weight reduction what do you think i should run?i am kind of new to the eclipses. i recently had a camaro so yah. can i even do a 2.4 swap?

Yes you can do a 2.4L sway. The 2.4L is also a 420A engine block so it will drop right in. As far as power goes.....probably about 170hp (stock) and with all that stuff (the 2.0L has 140), the short shifter won't give you any extra power, you'll be looking at around 180ish maybe 187. Also, if you bore and strok your car you can probably get around 200hp-depending on the bore size. :talon:
