Chilliwack,
Well, the vast majority of people say to use GM synchromesh fluid in the DSM 5spd manual tranny. So of course I did this when I first bought my car. I have driven it for 2 months now with that in there. I hated it!

Changed the master and slave cylinders and properly blead the system. Adjusted etc etc. Still had troubles putting it in 1st gear and sometimes 2nd and even 3rd occasionally.

So, I had them put stock stuff back in. Turns out it is $18 bucks a litre Canadian, and is synthetic stock 75W85 gear lube.

Guess what?? Way better shifting than with the GM Synchromesh. Wierd eh??

Dunno what is up, but I will keep using the stock stuff for now. And I work at a GM shop, so I should be pushing our parts, but I can't.

oh well, at least my car is better now. Still crunches a bit, but boy it is alot easier to put in gear...
