Nova,
someone tell me why everyone has a S-AFC, while the S-AFR *seems* like a much better product for about the same price. I say this because the HKS has more points of correction/adjustability, and that cool auto correction feature that lets you vent to atmosphere w/o running rich between shifts. Is it beacuse the HKS is newer and everyone already baught the apex? I sure hope everyone didn't buy the Apex beacuse it "looks neat and it has that cool graph" :)

I bought the AFC becasue that's what everyone uses and has the most experience tuning with.

Later,

I Bought the apexi only because almost everyone uses it and I never knew about the HKS one.. But anthing that HKS make is very good quality and nice.. I've just started to look into there products and they have impressed me.. I know we tend to like one thing and everyone flows but that shouldn't be the case. Good luck.

AFR has no load or throtle correction. Your changes are made ALL the time, not just at wot or idle. It makes it completely impossible to get tuned from 3-4k with a decent sized turbo for both WOT and cruising. I've messed around with one on a friends car and hated it because of this. Get an AFC.

thanks for the help, i was planning on going with the AFC, mostly because everyone else has it, but i thought I would at least check out the HKS. I kept hearing stuff like this about the HKS (this is from the MVP motorsports page)

This unit is similar to the Apex AFC in tuning ability, but much better.

The HKS AFR has 11 points of adjustment, the Apex AFC has 8
The AFR has 6 more points of adjustment from 650~2000rpm's for idle correction, the AFC does not have this
The AFR has a Response Adjustment, the AFC does not
The AFR's 11 adjustment points can be as close together as 50rpm's, the AFC's 8 adjustment points are fixed & can not be changed
The AFR has EIDS which correct the Air/Fuel signal so your car doesn't stall or go rich when your Blow Off Valve releases, the AFC does not have this

I know nothing about it, I ignored it cuz i thought it was for 2Gs only.

please inform me, im always looking for the best item out their (as long as its not wildly expensive)
