poynette,
I already did a search for this came up empty. the machin shop was takign otu the frost plug on my block and when they skrewed in the slide hammer they went right threw the cylinder wall. am I better off to just get a new block of get the whole thing sleved? both are options.

Sounds like in your discription that they are the ones that screwed up. They should be replacing your block!

I can't believe they said that. I would go in there and say "you guys owe me a new block!" Need to make a scene

why would a cylinder wall be thick? its not like theres ever a firery combustion in the cylinders
