what temperature thermostat do i need

I'm replacing my thermotstat, but what temperature do i need? And are all thermostats universal? i went to the parts store and they a bunch of different ones but didn't have any kind of applictation guide. The people that worked there weren't much help either.

Don't buy parts like that at a parts store, like autozome or whatever. Go to the dealer and get oem parts, alot better, and better trusted with oem parts.

Yeah and pay $200 for a thermostat that you can buy for $50 at Autozone (this is just an example). It does not mean if it is not from the dealer, it is no good. Dealers outsource the parts they sell and delete their labels and either stamp their own or box it themselves which adds 50% of the cost to it.

you guys are on crack.....a thermostat is like $7 or $8........on my GS, the thermostat is offset a little....when I first replaced it I went with a centered one but it failed after a week......got the OEM offcenter one and have been running great since
