Anybody have the rre's shifter bushing, I was wondering how that compared up to the symborski shifter bushing.

I read on the rre website that the symborski metal type makes a big metal clunky noise when shifting, is this true??? Would that be the only down point for symborski...

Not true at all, I've had both RRE (Energy Suspension) bushings and the Symborski kit (on now) and I don't notice a difference at all. The symborski comes with a little tube like metal piece that is suppose to help decrease play, but I didn't notice. I haven't heard the symborski making any clunking metal noise really, just the usual clunk of gears grinding when ya misshift.

I've got the Symborski in my 97 GSX and absolutely love it. The metal "tube" that goes in place of the stock shifter pivot tube really does get rid of a bunch of the slop. Definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I've got that kit in my Talon. It removed much of the sloppy feeling in the shifter, making the shifts feel more precise. Only downside is that you feel more vibrations in the shifter but it's really no big deal. If you want to improve your shift feel even more, get rid of that horsecock shift knob and get something shaped more like a 2G knob.

Please people, we need to start using the *SEARCH* button...there must be hundreds of posts about the Symbrowski kit on Talk and here on Tooners.

Nope. I just did a search on "Symbrowski" and yours was the only post that showed up. You might have better luck if you do a search on "Symborski" :p

I was looking at the shifter bushings from RRE, and was just wondering what people think about them. Do they worth buying or should I get them from somewhere else?
Thanks.

The RRE are about $15, but I like how symborsky looks better, I really dout that it makes any difference. What kind do you have, and how you like them?

I have the RRE ones, made a huge difference, shifts so much better. Only problem is theyre a little noiser then the stock rubber ones but oh well.
