I made a big misstake when I sold my 95 3000GT . So I bought a 91 GSX to make up for it:D and I want to know how to make my cars lights stay down but turn on. I thought I'd be slick and just pull the popup fuse but then my fog lights didn't work!:( Dose any one know how to have the lights turn on with the parking lights or somthing? I arreddy tried looking on "FORMES" and no luck. I need yalls help!

ok here is how i did it. just pull the plug that goes to the headlight motors located in the engine bay. real simple takes like 2 minutes.

i was gonna say, without ever touching 1g dsm, i know that if you pull the wires from the motors, they wont open ;)

Yea but then when it rains at night its hard to see, is there a way where i can control the pop ups with the button on the console, instead of the light switch. Ya know turn the lights on with the knob, and pop them up and down with the button. that would be nice.

Check what wire sends power when the headlights are turned on, cut the wire. tap in a toggle switch between it wired all the way to the interior and back... Then when you turn on your headlights, you have a switch to open or close the popups.:thumb:

this is how you do it

pull the kick panel from the passenger side.
locate the big clump of wires.
in this clump of wires, there is a white resistor, its about half way up the strand. now with a small flat head screw driver, or a pair of needle nose plyers. remove the resistor.
put the kick panel back together
turn the head lights on. they should stay down, but on
to get them up, turn the head lights off, hit the button {make sure it clicks} then turn the lights on

pretty simple really
if you need pics, go to the vfaq.com page and look it up, its in there

Thanks for all your sugestions, I pulled the plug to the moter for right now, but will try Silent2g's sugestion when it stops raining. The only ? I have about Silent2g's way, is it reversable if it don't work?

I did search VFAQ, thank you very much. I saw the thread and when I tried to veiw it, it kep sending me to another web site that had nothing to do with that. Ask before you try to made someone look like an a$$!

There are 3 Topics on vfaq that cover this.
Plus there are around 50 Threads ALREADY on Dsmtuners that cover this. DONT POST MORE JUNK.

The onlyone that is making you look like a stupid " a$$ " is yourself.

Just pull the fuse for the headlamps under the hood and install some fog lights or even utilize the factory fog lights when the conditions require it.

I was just stating what the rules said Chris.

I appreciate it, but please let the mods enforce the rules. When other users try and enforce them, it only makes things worse. You're welcome to tell people to use the search if you answer their question at the same time. However, we frown on people only telling others to use the search with no other info. We're used to how things work around here - it's not second nature to everyone though. Let's keep that in mind before we bash the next person for not finding the answer on their own.

actually those threads on vfaq are broken, so before you be a jackass and say 'search' maybe consider the person did, and the link is no longer valid. Vfaq.com is starting to become a collection of broken links imo.(btw i did find this thread while searching, i just find it rude when people just say, 'use the search').
