I have been saving and planning on buying a 2g eclipse for a long time, I am now actually able to purchase one, and I hade my heart broken when i went to the insurance company, and found out how much the rates were for the gst and gsx models. I have heard plenty of stories, of people swaping a 1g turbo into a 2g turbo, for more power, and to avoid crank walk, but I want to know if its possible to swap a 1g turbo 4g63 into a non turbo 2g, and is it any more trouble? Is it even worth the trouble?

It would be awesome if someone who could tell a newbie to dsm's like me a little info on that...

to convert a non turbo to a turbo it would require the entire wiring harness, ecu, engine, trans etc etc etc.. basically the entire front clip from a turbo car. its more work then its worth. sorry
