Ok guys I finally got my datalogger registration and did some runs last night. I've put them on my web page. Check them out and tell me what you think http://home.sc.rr.com/evolutions/obdii.htm I am not to happy about the data rate I have a inter byte delay of 2425 and a inter packet delay of 9. That gives me about 10-11 frames a second. Anyhow let me know if you think I need to add or subtract fuel in any areas. Also in forth gear my clutch is starting to slip so you mite see a drop in RPMs with out me letting of the throttle.

Your runs are not a full blast from 1st - 3rd all the way. Run one is pretty good but from 2nd to 3rd, timing is jumping up and down. Im not sure what happened there. I was told when you shift gears, you want timing to drop no less than 10 deg and rise up to about 18 deg consistant. What gas octane are you using? In areas where timing drops below 10, try richen things up. I have a similar problem with timing going below 10, but if i richen, i hit EGT's of 800c. If i lean out, ill hit highter egt temps but timing suffers.

I'm using 93 octane, I still have stock injectors and my clutch is slipping I don't know if when I shift it will slip a little and the sudden load when the clutch finally catches mite causes a drop in timing. I will try adding some in those areas, but I notice that I get black smoke when I take off, does'nt that mean i'm rich?

what are you boosting at and what EGTs do you get? Black smoke..Im not sure about that. You can easily tell if your running rich with an EGT gauge.

Well if I don't punch the gas for a while I get the black smoke, and I have a lot of carbon build up on th inside of the exhaust. My EGTs are good, until 5th gear if I get on it to long they gut up near 900, i'm running 16# on the street.

I think your running Rich. My car in third gear if I punch it all the way to redline I get 860c. Then when I shift in fourth, Ill get very close to 900c at about 5000k. Try a long third gear run and see what your EGT's hit in the top of third. Most street races end up in third gear and thats what my tunning is based on. If i were to go WOT in fifth, my car will probably explode. I was told to tune in 3rd and half of 4th because this is the gear we hit towards the end of the track. Hope this helps
