i finally got my K&N air filter yesterday, put it on took of the almuinum comb on the end of the MAS. now my car seems a wee bit quicker. BUT of course now the idles a little off and and when the raidator fan comes on it seems like it wants to stall. Im guessing its because i have the intake but no aftermarket exhaust (more intake than exhaust). Am i right? Should i just put the stock filter back on till i get an exhaust? and with the magnaflow cat, does that bolt on or weld? :talon:

If you took out the comb at the end, then thats ur problem. some people have good results and some people have bad results to removing the lower honey comb. I'd put it back and see how it runs afterwards. Just putting an open filter should be better then the stock. I had my intake on before i did exhaust and my car did run slightly ruff at first but all i did was adjust my idle screw and my car was back to running perfect. Doing the whole exhaust will def maximize your results

im somewhat new to the 1.8 or eclipse at all and was wondering if you could maybe tell me where the idle screw is or show a picture of the engine where the screw is so that i could up mine also, i put an intake in there this morning and my car stalled on me when i started it to go to school. :dsm:
