New lash adjusters..but

I have this slight clacking noise from 1000 rpms to 2000 rpms. sometimes it does it all day and sometimes it doesn't. I replace the lash adjusters ( as advised by the great memebers of DSMtuners ), thinking/hoping that it would fix the problem. But it still makes the noise. A friend of mine said it might be the lifters. Any ideas?

How long ago did you install them?

Last Tuesday. The noise has been going on since august. I also had all my belts, pulleys and water pump replaced last month, hoping that was the problem.
