You are knocking pretty bad, and it is killing your timing. You never get past 10 degrees timing advance. The added fuel from 5500 RPM on doesn't seem to be helping much with the knock, in my opinion. Your estimated A/F Ratio drops from 10.3 to 9.6, and the knock continues to increase. I think you need to turn the boost down a little, and that should get your knock under control. You do not start knocking until your boost starts to creap around 5000. I also think a WI kit would probably be very beneficial for you.

yeh i know i need a wideband..so you think turning down the boost and retuning will make the car faster than how it is running now with that knock?

also how much timing can i pull back safely? someone said no more than -2 but it goes to -14 or whatever so is it safe to keep going?

and if I have a 12 or 13:1 air/fuel ratio do i add fuel % or take away to get closer to 11:1? im running 850 injectors.

What is your boost at? I say zero timing out and take out fuel all across the board. If you go down on the sliders that is taking out fuel. Hence the negative numbers. Going up gives it fuel. Ludachris has the same injectors as you and his car is leaned out into the -20's. He also runs a 315 dead time as most FIC injectors call for. Maybe you should try that. Unless the car likes 285 for the dea time.

But I say turn the boost down, zero timing, and lean it out at least 5-8% and try it again and let us know.

Is this pump gas? If so, turn the boost down a little more, zero the timing and take some fuel out and see how she does. You don't have to run big boost to go fast. You just want to make sure the car is running smooth before you turn the wick up.

yeh its pump gas. i mean the car is fast. I just noticed there was some counts of knock which conserned me. so turning down the boost a little 0 out timing and take some fuel away it should not knock? and still be just as fast?

and Im also assuming this tune is on a 45degree night so when the summer comes at 85+ degrees another tune will be needed correct? i ran the car at the track on this tune on a 80 degree day 2 weeks ago only running a 13.7 so assume I could get better with a warm weather tune? im just trying to figure this all out its new to me.

A .50 trim should net way more than a 13.7 on pump gas. A local did 12.3 with and fp green on pump gas at 5800ft. He uses an AFC and 2G MAS. I am not saying the knock will go away, but its a start. Your timing advance was horrible. You need to correct that and bring it back up. You can run 30psi with 10* advance or 30psi and 21* advance and the differences will be huge. I mean absolutely huge.

Get the timing where it needs to be and figure it out. A wideband always makes things easy as well. Get the air/fuel down and then all you have to do is play with timing little by little. Weather is going to have an effect on your tune. Hopefully by then you will have this dsmlink thing down.

ok im going to go play with it this evening and see what I can do. So i need to turn boots down from 21 to 19 and zero timing. then once there is no knock I do what? sorry im trying to figure this out. also how much boost can stock internals hold from a .50 trim? im a little lost because first u said pull boost down and zero timing then u said u can run 30psi with 10-20 timing advance?

I was trying to give you an example of what timing advance will do to your car. Turn the boost down to 16-17 and start from there. Then raise timing and take out fuel accordingly. Highest stock 7 bolt I have ever seen was 565whp. This was a 97 GST. So they can handle a bunch. A .50 trim shouldn't push your motor too hard, unless you try to hurt it.

Walk before you run. ;)

Zero the fuel/timing back out, and turn the boost down to 15ish PSI. Get there, and tune via fuel sliders for an estimated ~11.40:1, unless it knocks (since the A/F is simply an estimate.)

After you get it running good there, turn the boost up a tad, and adjust A/F accordingly to keep it where it needs to be. Once you work your way up to 20ish PSI, you can raise/lower the timing where needed to combat knock.

If anything is fuzzy sounding, sorry, I'm still waking up :boring:
