And when all that other crap fails, revert back to post 2. I had to take it to a machine shop. I tried a torch, PB, hammer, all that just ended up mushrooming the end of the axle. my splines on the hub had been smashed, and the axle forced in at some point, so i had to file them back to straight before i put the new axle in. good luck to you. cost me $60 to get a machine shop to do it. oh well.
