I'm trying to put in my 2g pistons on a 1g block, and for some reason it just wont fit i mean the top fits bit i the skirt just doesn't fit, has anybody ever had this prob. Ive done this before with no prob i don't know whats going on. any input would be appreciated thanks

Any chance they might be oversizd pistons?

im not sure they where givin to me, they where still in the mitsubishi box they have numbers on top not sure what they mean

if they are not fitting and you have removed the ridge from the cylinder walls, they must be oversized. compare them to the old pistons.

Let me know the numbers on the pistons and box, and I, or someone, will be able to tell you what size pistons they are. And like others have said, the only explanition I can come up with is the piston's are oversized. If we find out they are indeed ovesized, the block need to be bored over to properly fit the new pistons. Machining usually runs around $200-ish for boring and honing.

These are the sizes on the pistons

3.365
3.3647

Theres 2 of each

The pistons you have pistons would be oversized .20 over. The standard piston bore is 3.346. Give or take a few thousandths of an inch. Your going to have to have your block bored and honed now to properly fit these pistons.

so does that means the standerd rings don't fit on these pistons?

oh ok does anybody want to buy some oversized pistons on 1g rods
