I was just browsing ebay and noticed that SSAutochrome had their own 2g install kit for sale. Looks pretty decent and is cheap if you ask me.

The question is: Will this kit really work on a 2g or will it crack or won't fit like the rest of their stuff?

I personally wouldn't touch any of there stuff, just look at his feedback, and his responses.

If you do some research about them you'll find 50-50 responses, some people like it, some people have had bad experiences with their products, they seem to crack rather easy or so people have posted.

The ebay pictures about their products look pretty darn convincing though, you'd think that they are great.

I'd say email the seller about warranty and such, they should back up their own products. thus giving you confidence on buying from them or not.

02 cents.

we carry all of ssautochrome's stuff, and we offer a warranty and have great customer service if you are afraid of their customer shoot me a pm

Yeah, it does look like a good deal but the kit doesn't look complete. Shouldn't there be more parts including washers?

my friend got it for his 3g eclipse and it looks like shit.... :notgood: don't do it my 2cents

Your friend is buying the WRONG parts then.

Washers/crush washers can be re-used.

yeah, but there's a high chance that they'll start leaking. The same goes for certain gaskets.

True. Mine havent leaked yet. I also read I think it was on vfaq, that by boiling the crush washers for a few minutes will help expand them to help create a a long lasting seal.

I bought my turbo from SSAutoChrome It's a real Mitsu Evo III 16-G Ported. It came with the 2-G install kit, which is good because I needed it. I think it work great. With the turbo I got, it eliminated my need for the rubber intercooler hose going from the turbo to the intercooler. It's all metal baby :thumb: ! The only issue I am having from it is getting too much boost. I can't get the boost below 20 pounds, car is mostly stock so it needs to be at no more than 15 pounds. I haven't adjusted the adjustable wastegate actuator yet though and yes I have a manual boost controller. The only thing I wouldn't buy from them is their manifolds. All there products receive good feedback except their manifolds.

seems like to me the wastegate arm is bent or stuck

also i will make the 2g kit a complete kit like others for people that buy it from me

Judging by the eBay picture, it looks partially incomplete. It looks like it's missing crush washers (a minor inconvenience - they can be had at most parts stores for less than $2) and it's also missing the silicon couplers and clamps. That is something I would question the seller about.

Other than that, it looks like a quality kit and well worth the money. And like Matt said, there's not really much that can go wrong this this. :dsm:

I just noticed it would probably be a good idea to order a 7cm gasket from Road race or something with any kit that doesnt include a new manifold to turbo gasket. The stock gasket is too small and cannot be port matched.

When in doubt don't buy. I have one of their 2g install kits lying around and it did come with washers. I ended up using all the nuts, bolts and wahsers for another project, and still have the j-pipe and oil lines. From looking at the j-pipe the welds in my opinion look like shit. But I am no expert just going by what I have seen in my experiences. Thats why the stuff is just sitting in my closet collecting dust.
